New Electives for BSMS Students - Fall 2019
This school year we added four new options to the arts electives for students, and with a new teacher on board, Family Consumer Science has a fresh new approach as well. We are excited about these courses and the possibilities as they continue to grow and develop; Teen Wellness, Words Change Worlds, STEM, and Media.
Student Council Events - Fall 2019
Thanks to BSMS Student Council for organizing fall fun events! Students and staff participated in spirit week leading up to BSSD Homecoming in early October. They also planned, advertised, and decorated for the Halloween Dance. Students dressed up in their finest costumes and waited eagerly for this awesome event. Thanks for coming out to support Student Council.
BSSD Profile of a Graduate - Fall 2019
Students are practicing 21st Century Skills in everything they do at Big Spring Middle School. Our focus on Big Spring School District's Profile of a Graduate requires integrating the 6 Cs - Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Citizenship, and Continuously Learning - into all subject areas, electives, and clubs. When you walk through the building, you will find students practicing and reflecting upon their skills.
